Quality and certifications

Intecs S.p.A.’s ISO certification system represents its constant commitment to excellence and innovation.

Intecs Technologies S.p.A. stems from the consolidated experience of Intecs, inheriting its know-how, expertise, and culture of quality developed over more than fifty years of activity in safety-critical sectors. Intecs S.p.A. was in fact one of the first software companies in Italy to obtain ISO 9001 certification (certification body: DNV, Det Norske Veritas) for the development of integrated hardware and software systems based on advanced, high-R&D technologies in the following sectors: Railway, Defence, Aerospace, Air and Naval Traffic Control, Automotive, and Telecommunications. Intecs S.p.A.’s Quality System was subsequently brought into compliance with EN 9100 (the standard covering supplementary requirements for the Aerospace and Defence industry), a certification first achieved in 2011, and with NATO AQAP-2110 and AQAP-160 standards (for Defence products intended for NATO countries), a certification achieved in 2017, through the definition of distinct and specialized procedures to ensure compliance with the various sector-specific standards:

Intecs’ historical certification journey has represented a benchmark of excellence at both national and international level. Among the main milestones achieved:

• Qualification by SCIROTÜV and TÜV Rheinland to perform software assessments in accordance with the CENELEC EN 50128 standard, as well as certification of Functional Safety Engineers in compliance with EN 61508
• Adoption of CMM®/CMMI® process improvement models, achieving Maturity Level 3 for the Defence, Air and Naval Traffic Control, and Railway divisions between 2005 and 2010.
• Qualification by Volkswagen for Process Improvement initiatives and achievement of Automotive SPICE® Level 2 (ISO 15504) in 2006, extended to Level 3 in 2015.
• Certifications ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems), ISO 27001:2022 (Information Security Management Systems) and PdR125:2002 (Gender Equality Management Systems).

This legacy is the reference framework from which Intecs Technologies S.p.A. originated.

Intecs Technologies S.p.A. was established as an organization focused on the Defence, Aerospace, Traffic Control, Automotive, Smart Devices, and FinTech sectors, pursuing a growth path in continuity with the experience and consolidated best practices of Intecs S.p.A. This commitment is reflected in an autonomous and progressive certification path which, following the achievement of ISO 9001:2015 and EN9100:2018 certifications, includes the attainment of ISO 27001:2022 certification. These certifications represent not only formal recognition, but also the concrete expression of a way of working oriented towards safety, reliability, quality, and conscious risk management, ensuring the value offered to customers.

For all Intecs Technologies S.p.A. certifications, the scope of certification is the design, development, and implementation of integrated hardware and software systems based on advanced technologies in the defence, aerospace, air and naval traffic control, automotive, and telecommunications sectors.
